Short description

Tor Browser is a Firefox-based browser for accessing Tor and reducing the amount of network information exposed to websites and access providers.

Key features

About the software

Tor Browser is a free Firefox-based browser specifically configured to work through the Tor network.

How it works

Connections are routed through Tor, making it harder to directly correlate the user’s original IP address with the destination website.

Purpose

Tor Browser can be used for private access to both ordinary websites and onion services.

Limitations

Tor hides the network route but does not eliminate risks created by logging into personal accounts, publishing identifying information or unsafe user behavior.
